Topic: Innovation, Institutional Development
Implementation period: 2025–2026
Client: Європейський СоюзExpertise France through the EU4Innovation East Project

More details: Within the framework of the project EU4Innovation East: strengthening the innovation capacity of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University" 2025–2026”, the team developed an Innovation Strategy for the development of Chernihiv Polytechnic National University.

The Strategy became the next stage following the preparation of a diagnostic report, which enabled a comprehensive assessment of the University’s scientific and innovation potential, identified its impact on the region’s innovation development, and provided an analytical foundation for the development of the University’s Innovation Strategy.

The Innovation Strategy will facilitate the transition from isolated initiatives to a coordinated innovation-driven development model. Such a model will accelerate innovation processes, expand cooperation with businesses, support the attraction of financial resources, and generate a tangible economic and social impact of the University on the development of the city and the region.

The Innovation Strategy is aimed at:

  • strengthening the University’s innovation development capacities;

  • improving innovation management and coordination mechanisms;

  • creating conditions for the development of startups and entrepreneurial initiatives, as well as the popularization of science;

  • strengthening research teams and systematically engaging young researchers in applied R&D projects;

  • reinforcing the University’s role within the regional innovation ecosystem;

  • creating an environment for collaboration among the University, businesses, public authorities, and the community.

The implementation of the Chernihiv Polytechnic Strategy is based on the principles of openness, partnership, effectiveness, digitalization, and sustainable development.

The development of this Strategy established the project’s key objectives: strengthening the University’s research capacities, commercialization of research results and intellectual property (IP) management, integration of the institution with businesses and markets, and enhancing the Polytechnic’s innovation impact within the region.
